Students who are eligible to receive Free School Meals can claim a daily allowance up to a maximum of £2.70. This covers the cost of a main meal, a dessert and a bottle of water. Students are also able to buy snacks at lunch time instead of a main meal however we would encourage students to opt for the meal deal option as this uses the full £2.70 daily allowance and provides a nutritionally balanced meal. Students who are eligible to receive free school meals can also buy items at break time however this will be capped at £1 maximum unless they have additional funds on their account. This ensures that students have sufficient funds to purchase a main meal at lunchtime.
Please note that the £2.70 will not be carried over to the following day if the balance is unused and parents/carers are expected to meet the cost of any additional expenditure above the £2.70 daily allowance.
