Tutor Groups

At Oulton Academy we have year group tutor groups every day lasting for 20 minutes. Our tutor programme provides robust age-appropriate guidance and academic and pastoral monitoring.

Your Tutor is the key person for you throughout your time at the Academy. It is your tutor who will meet you each day for registration. They will help you through any concerns, help monitor your progress and encourage you to get the best out of your time here. Your Tutor is the first point of contact in the Academy and we ask that your parents address all notes to them. They can be contacted by email or via the Main Reception.

Each tutor delivers a comprehensive programme to support our Life programme which builds our inclusive, caring culture and ethos. Students will engage in PSHE activities focusing on the following areas:

1. Health and Wellbeing
2. Relationships
3. Living in the Wider World
4. Our Mental Health

Every week in tutor time, we spend time promoting and monitoring students attendance, conduct and praise and encourages students to engage in our wider enrichment opportunities such as after school activities, sport and performance activities and trips and visits.
