 Exciting News: Launch of Our New School App!

We are thrilled to announce the launch of our brand-new MyChildAtSchool (MCAS) app a convenient, user-friendly platform designed to enhance communication between school and home. This app will provide you with instant access to important information about your child’s education and school life, all in one place.

 

Please note that iRis Reach will soon be phased out on the 10th February, and MCAS will be the new platform for all school dinner payments, as well as other key features.

 

What can you expect from the app?

  • Real-Time Updates: Get instant information about your child’s attendance, behaviour, and achievements.
  • Grades and Reports: Check your child’s grades and progress as soon as they’re available.
  • Easy Payments: Pay for school trips, lunches, and activities securely online.
  • Timetable Access: See your child’s daily schedule at a glance.

How to get started

Please follow the instruction below.

You will have received an email from ‘MCAS Password Recovery’ like the one below.

 

 

  • Click the text on the email which is highlighted in blue ‘Here’
  • Create a password
  • Confirm the password
  • You will get a message – ‘password update & confirmation email sent’
  • Click ‘back to sign in’

 

 

  • Sign in with the registered email & newly created password
  • Press LOGIN
  • Web page loads & you can see your child’s details

 

 

Downloading the app

  1. Next, download the app from your app store on your phone – look for ‘My Child At School’
  2. You will be greeted with the homepage
  3. Click anywhere on the page & you will be taken to the login screen

 

 

Sign in with the email & password as above

It will then ask you to create a 5-digit PIN – This will be used to make sign in easier for you – you should choose something that you will remember

You will then be asked if you want to set up biometric authentication (fingerprint sign on) Click yes or no depending on your preference.

You will then see your child’s details:

****Once you have registered for the app, all communications will be sent via MCAS, not via email. Please ensure that notifications are turned on in the app to stay updated.***

Further Guidance

MCAS will also be the new platform for all school dinner payments after Easter. Until then, ParentPay will still be available through their app and website: www.parentpay.com. Further information will be sent regarding this changeover, closer to the time. The app also has many other features, which will be added once we have everyone registered.

We have recently had queries regarding multiple parents/carers requesting access to the app. With MCAS, anyone with legal parental responsibility will be able to download and use the app. We’re confident this will make it easier than ever for you to stay connected with your child’s education and celebrate their successes. It will also allow you to address any concerns proactively by staying informed about participation.

Due to safeguarding responsibilities, we cannot allow parents to update their contact information using the app. Please email main reception at: info@oa.catrust.uk with any changes and they will deal with this proactively for you.
