Oulton Academy's Proud Remembrance Day Tradition Continues with Poppy Sales and a Moment of Silence
Oulton Academy has a longstanding commitment to honouring Remembrance Day, and this year is no exception. Continuing a proud tradition of support, student leaders have on behalf of the Royal British Legion, with all funds raised going directly to support veterans, service personnel, and their families.
The Royal British Legion provides essential assistance to families of men and women who have served, ensuring they receive the care and support they deserve. By selling poppies, our students not only contribute to this vital cause but also engage in an act of remembrance and respect.
To honour those who have served and sacrificed, the Academy will hold a two-minute silence on Monday, 11th November at 11:20 am. This solemn occasion offers our entire school community a chance to reflect on the courage and dedication of our armed forces and to acknowledge the enduring impact of their service.
As we observe this important tradition, Oulton Academy stands united in remembrance and gratitude.
