Winter Wonderland Brings Joy to Academy Students and Staff

Today, the academy’s PA Hall and Gym were transformed into a magical Winter Wonderland, creating a festive atmosphere filled with laughter, fun, and camaraderie. Organised by Vice Principal Mr Gumbley, the event was a resounding success, rewarding students for their excellent attendance and positive behaviour while strengthening the school’s thriving culture of positivity and achievement.

The Winter Wonderland was more than just an event; it was a celebration of the values that define our academy. With the theme of rewarding and reinforcing positive behaviour, the initiative recognised the hard work and commitment of students and staff alike. “This event is about celebrating our community and showing appreciation for the incredible efforts everyone puts in every day,” said Vice Principal Gumbley.

The festivities offered something for everyone. The PA Hall hosted a vibrant silent disco, where students grooved to their favourite tunes under sparkling lights, and a photo booth complete with fun props to capture the joyful moments. Meanwhile, the Gym was abuzz with excitement as students tried their hand at a variety of games and activities:

• The Bucking Bronco Reindeer had participants laughing and cheering as they tried to hold on for as long as possible.

• Spin the Wheel offered chances to win fun prizes.

• Stations for designing and decorating cookies brought out the creative side of attendees.

• Steaming cups of hot chocolate added a warm and cozy touch to the frosty atmosphere.

The Winter Wonderland perfectly encapsulated the academy’s commitment to fostering a supportive and positive culture. By creating opportunities for fun and recognition, the event underscored the importance of celebrating successes and building connections within the school community.
