KS4 Students Shine at Contemporary Dance Workshop

On Wednesday, KS4 Dance students participated in an inspiring two-hour Contemporary Dance workshop led by a professional dancer from the Northern School of Contemporary Dance. The workshop provided an incredible opportunity for students to refine their skills, learn new techniques, and immerse themselves in the expressive world of contemporary dance.

Our students represented the academy with exceptional enthusiasm and professionalism. Their dedication and positive attitudes did not go unnoticed, as the visiting dance artist praised them for their fantastic participation and performance throughout the session.

A special highlight of the day was the recognition of two Year 10 students, Scarlett D and Izzy W, for their outstanding potential in dance. They have been invited to audition for the prestigious Centre for Advanced Training Scheme in Leeds—a significant step toward pursuing advanced training in the art form.

This achievement is a testament to their hard work and talent, and the entire academy community is incredibly proud of them. Please join us in congratulating Scarlett and Izzy on this remarkable accomplishment. Their success serves as an inspiration to all aspiring dancers within our school.
