Mr. S Carr

As the designated teacher for Children Looked After (CLA), I ensure that these students receive the support they need to thrive academically and emotionally. My responsibilities include working closely with school staff, social workers, and foster carers to monitor the progress of CLA students, addressing any barriers to learning, and advocating for their needs. By providing stability and a consistent point of contact, I aim to create an environment where they can achieve their full potential, despite the challenges they may face.

My career started at the school in 2019 where I began as an NQT in the History department, and I have since taken on roles as Associate Assistant Principal and the Head of History. My passion for teaching and supporting all students, regardless of their background, is evident in everything I do.

I am proud to work with such dedicated staff who understand that our role is to develop students' individual talents and interests, as well as their academic attainment.
