Year 9 students win catering competition!

Two of our Year 9 students took part in a cooking competition with a design brief of locally sourced and seasonal food. Ingredients were sourced from the local farm shop and garnishes from the Design and Technology kitchen garden.

The competition was organised by Schools Partnership, Wakefield and held at Wakefield College. The students had the opportunity to work in a professional kitchen and were supported by professional chefs to cook and present their 3-course meal. 

Ella and Evie fought off some tough competition and were named the winners. Well done girls for showing the academy values of resilience and leadership.
