Year 8 Residential at Hesley Wood Scout Centre

Year 8s completed their inaugural residential at Hesley Wood Scout Centre and it was a complete success!

All students in Year 8 were invited to attend our residential at Hesley Wood Scout Centre. They had a brilliant time. Students gained new experiences such as archery, orienteering and off-road karting while also developing key communication, leadership, collaboration and resilience skills.

Furthermore, independence and initiative were also garnered within those on the residential as students had to make their own beds, manage their time, be responsible for their environments and then show the life-long skill of cleaning up after themselves!

We are sure people at home will hope to see them bring these abilities to the fore at home! Finally, to cap the crammed full event off, students even were taught and practised good home learning habits and self-learning skills to set them up for success in future endeavours.
