Leeds SENate Event – Leeds Civic Hall

As part of the Child Friendly Leeds agenda, Leeds City Council consults with young people about their experiences and opinions on the services available in their local area.

 A group of Oulton Academy students were able to add their voices to the discussion when they attended the Leeds SENate event at Leeds Civic Hall. 

This was a lively activity with lots of interactive tasks which the group completed with enthusiasm. Each student had the opportunity to give their opinions on what young people need and how money should be spent to support their development. Two of our students took to the stage and spoke about their personal experiences and the difference they thought new services would bring to the young people of Leeds. 

Well done to the group who are helping to shape the future of their community!
