Oulton Academy Provides Extra Revision Resources to Support Year 11 Students Ahead of GCSE Exams

In a dedicated effort to support its Year 11 students, especially those from disadvantaged backgrounds, Oulton Academy has launched a new initiative to provide essential revision equipment ahead of the crucial GCSE examinations. Recognising the financial barriers that some students face, the school aims to ensure that every pupil has the necessary tools to succeed.

The initiative focusses on supplying high-quality revision equipment, including scientific calculators, highlighters, notebooks, and other stationery. This equipment is being distributed at no cost to all pupils in year 11. Principal Mr Higgins highlighted the significance of this initiative in levelling the playing field for all students. "Every student deserves an equal opportunity to excel, regardless of their financial background," he said. "By providing essential revision equipment, we are removing one of the barriers to success and helping our students focus on their studies.

As we move through the GCSE examinations, Oulton Academy remains dedicated to monitoring the progress of its students, ready to offer additional support where needed. The school is hopeful that these efforts will result in outstanding academic achievements.

With this initiative, Oulton Academy not only aims to improve academic outcomes but also to foster an inclusive and supportive educational environment. By investing in their students' success, the academy reaffirms its commitment to educational excellence and equality.
