Year 8 Students-Day Business Challenge
Year 8 students recently participated in an exciting two-day business challenge led by Adam Corbally, a renowned businessman and former contestant on The Apprentice.
The event began with an electrifying motivational talk from Adam, where he shared his inspiring journey from humble beginnings to entrepreneurial success. Students were captivated by his message of resilience, creativity, and determination, setting the tone for the challenge ahead.
Adam then tasked the students with an innovative business challenge: to design a product or service with a positive environmental impact. Teams were required to create a logo, develop a catchy slogan, prepare a cost analysis, design an advertising poster, and deliver a compelling sales pitch to a live audience and a panel of judges.
Over the two days, the students impressed everyone with their creativity and teamwork. Each team presented their unique ideas, showcasing not only their business acumen but also their passion for sustainability and innovation.
Prizes were awarded in several categories, including Best Speaker, Best Team Leader, Best Creative Idea, and the top three business pitches. Prizes ranged from signed movie posters to trophies, with the ultimate reward for the first-place teams—a trip to a destination of their choice in the new school year!
The event concluded with a celebration of the students’ achievements and a resounding acknowledgement of their potential to lead in the world of business and environmental advocacy.
Well done to all the students for their hard work and ingenuity, and a special thank you to Adam Corbally for inspiring the next generation of entrepreneurs.
