Future Scholars: Year 9 Launches Into The Brilliant Club

Our Year 9 students have officially taken their first steps into the world of higher education! This week marked the exciting launch of The Brilliant Club’s Scholars Programme, an initiative designed to give students a real taste of university-level learning.

A Virtual Welcome
The group kicked off the project with an online launch session, where they were formally welcomed into the programme. It wasn’t just about the "hello's," though—students had the chance to hear first-hand testimonials from former graduates of the programme, giving them a glimpse of the challenge and rewards ahead.

Navigating the Future
The session provided a deep dive into the world of further education. Students explored:

• The Roadmap to University: Different pathways and entry requirements.
• University Structure: How different campuses and colleges operate.
• The Project Format: A breakdown of how they will manage their upcoming assignments and tutorials.

Going Viral (Literally)
The real work begins in the coming weeks when the group meets their assigned PhD tutor.

Their topic of study? Viruses. This high-level module will see them researching complex biological structures and the impact of diseases in a way that goes far beyond the standard curriculum.
