Oulton Academy Gym Challenge Champions

Opening earlier this year, our new school gym has been very popular with staff and students. Mr Forrest has been putting on a variety of challenges in the fitness club to encourage our students to participate in.

We have just awarded our second crowning of Gym Challenge Champions.

Our Autumn to Christmas challenge saw the 500-meter row competition tied between 3 incredible year 7 competitors Lucas O, Kian Sand Frank O.

Kian has then followed up his earlier success by also outright winning the Winter challenge, seeing him complete the fastest 300-meters on the Ski-erg in a time of just 90seconds.

This term we have added an Easter Bunny Hop theme to the challenge where competing students have 30 seconds to complete as many plyo box jumps as possible.  

Year 7's are leading the way in both participation and achievement in the early days of fitness club, great job!!
